Abstrak

Diarrhea is watery defecation more than three times a day, with or without blood and / or slimy in the stool, Diarrhea is caused by infection factors, malabsorbsi (impaired absorption of nutrients), food and psychological factors. The incidence of diarrhea in the Malintang Puskesmas work area is ranked 6 out of 10 priority diseases. The purpose of this study is to Identify environmental sanitation in school-aged children in the Malintang Puskesmas work area and to Analyze the relationship between environmental sanitation and the incidence of diarrhea in primary school children. in this study amounted to 60 respondents who can be used purposive sampling. The research design used was cross sectional design and data were collected from respondents using questionnaire sheets. The results showed a relationship between environmental sanitation and the incidence of diarrhea in school-age children in the Malintang Puskesmas Work Area. Suggestions for other studies might be to examine other factors such as food, culture, hand washing which can cause diarrhea
