FAKTOR–FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI TERJADINYA OSTEOPOROSIS PADA LANSIA DI PUSKESMAS MALINTANG KECAMATAN MANDAILING NATAL TAHUN 2018

Abstract

Osteoporosis is a disease characterized by decreased bone density of the spine resulting in the brittle and easily broken. The purpose of this research is to know the factors that affects the occurrence of osteoporosis in the elderly based on age, gender, nutritional intake and physical activity. The type of research used in this research is descriptive that aims to describe the factors causing osteoporosis in the elderly. With the entire population of the elderly who suffered from osteoposis as many as 41 people and a sample teachniques is total sampling. Analysis of data used is univariate analysis that used is influencing to explain or describe the characteristics of each variable. From the research results obtained a majority of elderly who suffer osteoporosis are aged 70-79 as many as 20 people (45.8%), female sex as many as 25 people (61%), the nutritional intake of elderly osteoporosis affects as many as 35 people (85.4%), and the majority do not do physical activity as much as 22 people (53.7%). From the results of this researchare expected to health workers in particular in the integrated service units of the social service of the elderly know and understand about osteoporosis and its prevention
