Abstrak

Uric acid is the end result of metabilisme (catabolism) of a substance called purine. Uric acid is a waste product of purine these substances. purine substance is a natural substance which is one tiem-shaped chemical structure of DNA and RNA. according to the World Health Organization, gout sufferers in 2004 estimated 230 million. the prevalence of gout in the world is very varied and epidemiological studies show an increase in the incidence of gout, particularly in developed countries consume a lot of fatty foods and high in purines this study aims to determine the factors that affect uric acid levels in women aged 50- 60 years in the hamlet village Sidodadi promontory Haloban districts downstream slats stone harbor district in 2014. This is a descriptive study design with a large sample of 15 respondents.it  taken by using accidental sampling technique. Data retrieval with crose sectional questionaire design. The results of this study could be that the high consumption of purine 8 (53.3%). and who consume moderate purine many as four people (26.7%) and eating a low-purine as many as three people (20.0%). whereas factors that alcoholic beverages can be found in 15% (100%). consume no alcoholic beverages. whereas the characteristics of obesity as many as 6 people (40.0%) and fat characteristics of 4 people (26.7%), which is a normal characteristic ideal reach 2 people (13.3%) and the characteristic thin as much as 3people (20.0%). concluded that dietary factors and obesitaslah which resulted in increased levels of uric acid
